Dances
and Masks
Many
kinds of dances, in most cases with the participants wearing
masks, can still be seen today in small towns and
villages. The dance of the old men ('viejitos') is native to
the region of lake Patzcuaro in Michoacan, Mexico. It is a
humorous dance with young men or boys disguised as old men,
wearing wooden masks.
