House of the Medicine Man, Retablo from Peru, by Nicario Jimenez, about 1996. Wood and gypsum paste, 29 x 19.5 x 7.5 cm.

Elaborate scene in the house of the witch-doctor. The panel contains three groups of figures. On the left the patient is stretched out on a table with the healer removing evil spirits with snakes and incantations. In the middle a woman is mixing a potion and an attendant is offering another snake. A small figure, perhaps an injured child, has an arm in a sling and holds a snake. To the left  other members of the household are working on a potion made from herbs.
