Stastny Folk Art and Crafts Foundation EstablishedRecognized as a Non-profit OrganizationAugust 9, 1999 -- We are pleased to announce that the Stastny Folk Art and Crafts Foundation has been officially recognized as a non-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service. This means that donors may deduct contributions and gifts are also deductible for federal estate and gift tax purposes, if they meet applicable provisions of the code. The organizers of the foundation are very excited by this development and propose to work hard to achieve the goals for which this organization was established. We now have the opportunity to develop a unique resource for appreciation of folk art and for involvement in the crafts to this community in Texas.
