Folk Art Foundation Comes to Heath
Heath, Texas, September 21, 1999. --
The recently established Stastny Folk Art and Crafts Foundation will be located in the
City of Heath. The purpose of the
Foundation is to promote the appreciation of Folk Art and Crafts. The Foundation will soon
build an Art Center which will offer exhibit space for Folk Art and Crafts, workshop
areas for pottery and other crafts, a conference room, library and administrative offices.
The Art Center will house the permanent collection, special exhibits and will offer
demonstrations and classes in various crafts. In addition, a Web Site is being developed ,
which will provide information about the Foundation and its activities. The Web Site will
also feature pieces of the collection and information about Folk Art and Crafts in our
area, in the State of Texas and in the world.
