Advisory BoardFall meetingOctober 9, 1999 -- The Advisory Board of the Stastny Folk Art & Crafts Foundation had its first meeting. 1. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote the appreciation of Folk Art and Crafts, to encourage understanding of different cultures through folk art and to foster and support the practice of crafts in the community. 2. The Foundation will be housed in the Art Center. An architect has been asked to design the building. 3. The Foundation Web Site will be developed by Peter Stastny. Plans for the construction of a "virtual museum" are ongoing.
